Privacy notice for the Shop Toast app
Effective September 29, 2026
This notice explains what the Shop Toast Android app does with information, and how the Shop Toast website pages work. It is written for people who use the app to plan gifts and contact the shop.
Section 01
Who publishes the app
The Shop Toast app (Android package com.shoptoast.gifts) is published for Shop Toast, a trade name of TOAST EVENT DESIGN LLC, a Hawaii limited liability company. Mailing address: 551 Hanana Place, Honolulu, HI 96817, United States. In this notice, "we" and "the shop" mean Shop Toast.
Section 02
What this notice covers
It covers the Shop Toast Android app and the Shop Toast website pages that link to this notice. It does not cover your own email app, phone app, or the services that carry messages you choose to send; those follow their own privacy terms.
Section 03
The short version
The app has no account and no internet access. Gift lists you make stay on your phone. Nothing reaches the shop unless you open your own email app or phone from the app and send or call yourself.
Section 04
Information you type into the app
When you build a gift list you can choose pieces, designs, scents and quantities, and add a list name, an occasion, a number of guests, how you would like to get the pieces (shipping with a state and ZIP code, or pickup), a date you would like them by, and notes. You may also add your name, phone number and email so the shop can reply. All of these fields are optional except that a list needs at least one piece or a note.

Where it is kept
Gift lists and a short record of which contact app you opened for each list are saved in the app's private storage on your phone. If you switch on "Remember my details", your name, phone and email are also kept in the app's private settings so new lists start with them. Other apps cannot read this storage.
Section 06
What the app does not collect
The app does not ask for or read your location, contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone or advertising ID. It contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking tools, and it does not create a profile of you.
Section 07
No internet access
The app does not request Android's internet permission. The catalog, prices, pictures and this notice are built into the app, so it works offline and cannot upload anything by itself.
Section 08
When you contact the shop
"Email Shop Toast" opens the email app you choose with a message addressed to the shop and your gift list written out, including any details you added. Nothing is sent until you press send in that app. "Call" opens your phone's dialer with the shop's number; nothing is dialled until you call. Returning to the app does not tell it whether you sent or called.
Section 09
How the shop uses what you send
If you send your list or call, the shop receives what you chose to share and uses it to reply about the pieces, availability, pickup or shipping. The shop does not sell personal information.
Section 10
Sharing
The app itself shares nothing with anyone. Messages you send travel through your own email or phone provider to the shop.
Section 11
Backups and moving to a new phone
The app turns off Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer for its data, so your gift lists are not copied to a Google account or to another phone. If you need a copy, use "Preview message" and copy the text.
Section 12
Keeping and deleting
Your lists stay on your phone until you delete them. Delete removes a list and its record from this phone only; it does not recall an email you already sent. About > Forget my details clears the remembered name, phone and email. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored. To ask the shop to delete messages you sent, contact the shop.
Section 13
Security
App data is protected by Android's app sandbox and by your phone's screen lock and encryption. The app does not add its own encryption, so keep your phone locked if others can use it.
Section 14
Children
The app is a gift catalog for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect information from children.
Section 15
Your choices and rights
You control everything the app keeps: you can edit or delete any list and turn off remembered details at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask the shop about, correct or delete personal information you sent it; contact the shop and it will respond as the law requires.
Section 16
The Shop Toast website
The website pages are plain pages with no cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and no form that sends data to a server. The contact page can prepare an email in your own email app; nothing is sent until you send it there. The service that hosts the pages may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, to run the site.
Section 17
Changes to this notice
If the app's handling of information changes, this notice is updated and the new version is included with the app update and posted on the website with a new effective date.
